This team is focused on elevating IT Professionals as leaders in the Microsoft cloud. In this technical role your core mission will be leading Microsoft customers to understand how to take advantage of existing and new virtualization solutions and how to successfully transform businesses by deploying solutions in Microsoft private or public clouds. You will help your fellow IT professionals understand how to take advantage of innovative Microsoft management solutions spanning from on-premise to the cloud.

Successful Candidates Will:
• Be passionate, engaging technical thought leaders in the IT community and help them discover the value of Microsoft platforms, services and technologies.
• Be recognized as the “go to” SME, advocate, and respected authority for IT Pros across the subsidiary, supporting cross-subsidiary/area internal stakeholders with audience and technical intelligence and guidance.
• Enable rich and effective learning experiences for IT Pros, driving them to evaluate, use and deploy Microsoft technologies and to adopt Microsoft’s cloud philosophy and roadmap.
• Have an affinity for understanding the pulse of the IT community, user groups and influentials and be able to support them with a clear engagement plan that drives adoption of Microsoft technologies and servicesand improves IT Pro satisfaction.
• Have strong hands-on experience architecting, deploying and operating IT services, for organizations of all sizes, having real day-to-day experience of IT operations.
• Enjoy and be effective at presenting and doing demos of the solutions to IT audiences of all sizes and seniority levels.
• Actively connect with and influence the online IT Pro community by blogging, micro blogging, and using digital media and social networks to scale reach to drive adoption of Microsoft technologies and services. Be recognized as a key Microsoft spokesperson for IT Pro communities and influentials.
• Deeply understand the IT competitive landscape and be able to advice at subsidiary/area level.
• Play a key role in working effectively across the company with internal partners and stakeholders including Audience Marketing teams ,Business Groups and Product Marketing and Engineering.
• Ensure one Microsoft voice is heard and the interests and needs of the IT Pro audience are considered and integrated across all campaigns and activities.
• Consistently track programs to measure business impact against key scorecard/dashboard metrics, including reach, engagement and adoption metrics. Drive BI analysis to prioritize and make informed business decisions.
• Be an active and passionate participant of the internal WW IT Pro Evangelism community, expected to contribute, share experiences and be able to connect across organizations and subsidiaries.


Required:
• 5+ years of professional technical experience with infrastructure-related technologies and services.
• B.S. or higher degree in computer science or related field strongly preferred.
• Technical consulting or technical pre-sales experience a plus.
• Travel required.

Ideal:
• Proven track record for presenting to large technical audiences.
• Proven track record for producing high quality technical content.
• Microsoft and other technical/industry certifications desirable.
• Real life experience with user groups either as a participant or a leader
• Engaging with press.
